Learn the fundamentals of search engine optimization! The content of our SEO class includes:
Interactive Website Reviews
While the first half of the day focuses on SEO fundamentals, the second half is a completely interactive experience. Attendees are encouraged to volunteer their own websites and receive instant feedback during the class. We’ll do keyword research and analyze searcher intent, determine whether or not you should pursue head terms or long-tail keywords, review your on-site content, evaluate your competition and take a look at the backlinks they’ve acquired. This serves many students as an SEO consulting session for their website.

SEO Training Classes in San Francisco
The ClickMinded Search Engine Optimization Training Course is a comprehensive one-day SEO training class based in San Francisco. You’ll learn the fundamentals of developing great content, ranking higher in search engines and generating more traffic and visitors to your website. Taught in the historic North Beach neighborhood of the city, ClickMinded SEO classes have been developed for the bay area, and are designed to empower students to confidently and intelligently take control of their own Internet marketing strategy.
“I took an SEO workshop with ClickMinded and it totally ROCKED.” – MC, Yelp

Is there a prerequisite for the ClickMinded SEO training class?
Nope. This class is primarily designed for those completely new to search engine optimization, but can very easily scale up in difficulty if attendees are more advanced or have very particular SEO questions. You’ll always get an email asking if there’s anything in particular you’d like to cover in the class, as well as how knowledgeable you currently are.
Where is the class held?
ClickMinded SEO classes are usually held at 524 Union Street, San Francisco California at the beautiful REZERV.IT co-working facility in North Beach. REZERV.IT is a fantastic coworking office space in San Francisco.
How big is the class?
Since we spend the second part of the day evaluating attendees websites’, the classes are set to a maximum capacity of 5 in order to provide as much attention to each student as possible. However, I’ve been running around the bay area giving “Introduction to SEO” classes for some groups. Contact me if you’re interested in that.

How long is the class?
The class is one day long, usually held on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. Attendees generally have a number of follow-up questions after the class once they’ve implemented some of the tactics, so don’t be shy in emailing after the fact!
Can we review my site during the training and will I get specific recommendations?
Yep!
Is learning search engine optimization on a Saturday going to suck?
I promise, I’m going to try and make it as interesting, entertaining and thought-provoking as possible!
Will I be “SEO Certified” or will I get some kind of accreditation?
No! There’s no such thing as an accreditation in search engine optimization. However, a number of our previous attendees have put the ClickMinded San Francisco SEO Training on their Résumés and CVs.
Before I sign up, where can I learn more?
Well, I am constantly hosting events through the San Francisco SEO Meetup, so feel free to join the group or come to an event, as these are always free! If you’re launching a new site, I’d recommend checking out my new site SEO checklist. I’ve also created a comprehensive list of free SEO tools that I find really valuable. The ClickMinded SEO Blog is where I ramble and geek out about stuff, and if none of those answer your question, contact me.
I’m not ready to take an all-day class.
Then check out some of the other content! You can get access to the SEO 101 Handbook or the Link Building 101 Handbook if you’re willing to “pay” with a tweet or a Facebook post! My former students would be able to tell you that social media is important for a site to rank well because it’s a quality signal for search engines. I wrote about this in an article for Social Media Today called Quality Signals – Twitter and Facebook’s Impact on Search Engine Rankings.
I’m still not convinced…. who are you?
Tommy Griffith has been in search engine optimization for the last 4 years. He co-founded an online medical tourism agency based in Taiwan, and then worked at a boutique internet marketing agency in Singapore, where he managed online marketing campaigns for 5-star hotels. Last year, he joined the Internet marketing team at PayPal, where he is currently the SEO Manager for Emerging Markets. He feels weird writing about himself in the 3rd, but admits that it makes him sound slightly more epic.
