CoAuthor Now Does SEO: Plan It, Write It, Get It Linked

CoAuthor now builds an SEO content plan for your site, writes every post around a real search, and adds interactives people share and link to. Here's everything that's new.

Most people don’t struggle to write anymore. AI fixed that.

What they struggle with is knowing what to write so someone actually finds it. And then getting anyone to link to it once it’s live.

So we built both into CoAuthor. It now plans your SEO content, writes every post to be found, and adds the kind of interactive pieces people share and link to.

Know exactly what to write next

Give CoAuthor your site and it builds your SEO content plan. It reads your site, finds your competitors, and checks what’s ranking on page one for the searches that matter to your business. Then it puts your best moves first, with a one-line reason for each.

When we ran it on clickminded.com, it found 136 ideas: 109 posts to write and 27 pages we already have that just need work. Here’s our actual plan:

A few things make it different from a list of keywords:

  • Chances for your site. Every idea is an Easy win (smaller sites rank for it today), Worth a try (a mix), or a Long shot (big sites own it). The same search can be an easy win for one site and a long shot for another.
  • Buyers first, when you sell something. It picks a strategy for your business. If you sell a product, it starts with people who are comparing options or ready to buy, because those are closest to a sale.
  • It knows the pages you already have. Some of the best moves aren’t new posts at all, so it tells you which existing page to improve and what to change.
  • Start here. The top of the plan is your best next move. Do one, then come back for the next.

When you’re ready, click Write this on any idea. The research is already done, and CoAuthor starts the post with its target search, format and angle set.

Posts written to be found

Every post CoAuthor writes can now target a real search.

It reads the pages that rank for it, works out what they all cover and what they miss, and builds the outline around that. You keep your angle and your voice. It doesn’t stuff keywords, and it doesn’t make every post read like every other post on page one.

It also knows your site, so it links each post to the right pages you already have, and suggests which of your existing posts should link back to the new one.

Here’s the part of SEO that’s hardest to fake: links. People link to things that are genuinely useful, and a wall of text rarely is.

So CoAuthor can now add interactives to your posts: calculators, simulators and explainers your readers can play with. Here’s one. Press the button and watch what ten more years does:

An interactive CoAuthor built. Press the button and try it.

CoAuthor adds them only where an interactive explains an idea better than an image, so most posts get none and the ones that do really earn it. They’re the kind of thing readers bookmark, share in Slack and link to from their own posts.

What’s next: an SEO content manager that never stops

Most SEO content is publish and pray. You hit publish, hope it ranks, and move on to the next post.

We’re building the opposite. Soon CoAuthor will keep watching your posts after they go live: tracking how each one performs, improving the ones that slip or stall, and spotting new opportunities as they show up. Every month you’ll get a short email with what moved and what it’s doing next.

Less publish and pray. More of a content manager that’s always making your site better.
